Cool way to look Wise: Goatee!!!

Greetings, fellow readers. I've been observing some of those cool wise guys from movies. Look at the pictures at this post to have an idea of what I am talking about. Well, all of them possess a goatee. Now, there is a major understanding on the meaning of a goatie. According to dictionaries, a goatee is: a small pointed or tufted beard on a man's chin. When people read small they believe it is actually small in length and then consider the wise man's goatee( a facial hair style) a beard! Can you beleive it?! It is absurd. A goatee is a gift only the wise possess. Goatees may be long in length, not in width. Pedro and I came to the conclusion that men of goatees are chancellours and the best advisors to those who seek help from itellectuals. If you have any issue, all you need to do is find one of these man(like seen in the pictures) and ask for their help. Do not be afraid if they take a long time to respond, for they are men deep in thought where any missued word may lead to a misapprehension. They can be found anywhere, such as the streets, fields, mountains, plains,etc. Another thing we found out, is that the wiser you are the longer your goatee. Pedro and I are still seeking wisdom and experience, for now our goatees are almost invisible to the eye. Anyways, you may find us during a day after school observing the view from the bar while scratching our little goatees. That is one more characteristic from the wise. While they sit deep in thought looking to the distant horizon, they scratch their goatees. I wish someday I can have such a gift.

FIFA Wolrd Cup Official Licensed Sticker Album

Finally, the FIFA World Cup album was released! It has been a big hit here in Brazil since 2002, all manufactured under license by PANINI. I personally love the album because I'm a big fan of the World Cup and always enjoy my self watching it. I cheer and cry for Brazil( my nation) while it battles lion-heartedly to bring the World Cup home, as many Brazilians and people from other nations do as well. Football is the most famous sport in the world and its home is Brazil, that is probably why the FIFA World Cup album was a big hit here. The album costs R$3,90 and each envelope( comes with5 stickers) costs R$0,75. At the last World Cup(2006) its gains were estimated around R$ 75,000,000, (10,000,000 envelopes)and were only surpassed by Germany, whihc housed the event.
The reason it makes so much success in my opinion is because of the magic in football. Even those who don't like football are overwhlemed by it during the World Cup and cannot resist watching their nations' match. These phenomenon( if I can call it that way) can occur by two reasons, 1) The person really gets in the mood by the excitement around him, or 2) He/she feels left out since 99% of the people are watching. Thus, I have a theory that the same happens with the album. I saw many people who do not present interest for football, collecting the stickers for their albums. It is a funny thing.

Which is better for Sao Paulo to Rio trips, Car or Plane?

This weekend I had a bad experience. My family traveled to Rio and we went by Plane. My dad and I wanted to travel by car but my mom hates it, so what could we do, women always win...(unfortunately) Anyways, the expected was that the trip would be faster and less frustrating since plane trips are much faster. The estimated time from Rio to São Paulo, vice versa, by plane varies from 30-45 min, while car trips usualy take 4- 5 hours. However, it turns out we were wrong on our theory. Car trips are less frustrating and faster than plane trips form Rio to São Paulo. First of all, when travelling by car the family decides the time to leave and feels free to change it if needed. In the other hand plane trips have specific times and if you get late you lose the flight wiht no refunds. Secondly, one must arrive onne hour before the flight in the airport to guarantee he/she is on time. There are several things one must do before actaully getting inside the plane( Check in, bag departure,etc), so getting a hour before is quite necessary. Even though every precaution may be taken, it is impossible to avoid airline companies' mistakes. Flights are delayed and departure gates keep changing which can stress even the most devote followers of Ghandi's. To make a long story short, the plane trip back to São Paulo took 5 hours. Now if we knew that we obviously would've come and gone by car and saved a lot of money.

Chatroulette experience

Hey guys! Last week Kevin my self, and Filipe(mickey) decided to check chatroulette out. We figured out that overall it is a very fun experience. However, I strongly suggest anyone willing to check it out to call a friend or two to go with you. The reason that having friends with you is intresting, is that it calls more attention and makes the whole thing more enjoyable. People who are alone just seem more boring and people tend to "next" them. Additionaly, with friends beside you, laughs are guaranteed and you won't feel sad if someone skips you. There are lots of innapropriate content in it, but with friends beside you the shock is quickly releived. Nevertheless, there are lots of good intentioned people, whom one could have good chats with. Our longer talks included Bentley students, a funny american called Eduard, some German, and even Brazilians. Free of braces

A few days ago,my dentist removed my braces. I got to say its a new life without it. First of all, eating is an easy thing now. While I had my braces,I had to constantly check and clean it in order to avoid public embaressment. Nobody likes having leftovers in their mouths right? Secondly, I don't have to lose my time going to the dentist once evey two weeks. Most students in CHaple have a busy agenda and having a free day is awesome for starting new activities or having more time with school work. Thirdly, brushing my teeths is easier and safer now. With braces, brushing your teeeth is an art. You have to follow multiple steps and have other utensils besides the common toothbrush. Additionally, I don't have as much injuries now. When I brushed my teeth with braces, several times I cut my mout with a loose piece of metal or by breaking something in the braces. Finally, you have a better look! People who take their braces out have a perfect and new set of teeth. It is awesome.

Family Guy Character of the Week- Joe

Once more I will dedicate a week post to a Family Guy character. Joe is a paraplegic man and one of the Peter's best friends. He plays an important role by being one of the 4 friends in Peter's group (Quagmire, Cleveland, Joe, and Peter). I beleive the series uses Joe as another comic releif to paraplegic people. A funny aspect about Joe is that he is really atheletic and has a jock like personality, unlike his three other friends who are really lazy. He is also a police officer and sometimes has to arrest a known person. WHat calls my attention to his character though is his sudden out burst of energy such as his known shout, "YEAH!!!!" Marsh Periwinkle Succesfull once more

Well, how could I start. Marsh Periwinkle is a group originally formed by Santiago, Daniel, and my self. We make videos/movies for any class subject we are assigned to do a video for. Beleive or not, but our lowest grade was a 96(A).Nevertheless, let me explain how it started. It all began in the Integrated Science class with Mr. James ( most known as Mr. J or Mr. J.J). We were assigned a project to describe any animal we chose thoroughly. I always enjoyed asking random questions about gastropods( a funny name I found on the book). Thus, I decided doing the project on a gastropod. However, I soon realized gastropod is not an animal, but a species classification. So, what I did was look for a specific gastropod. It was then, then that I saw the future legend's name: Marsh Periwinkle. I thought the name was so funny, that I couldn't stop saying it randomly( I still do today ask any one who knows me). Then, we had this portuguese and religion project and we just used MArsh PEriwinkle as the name of the group. David was with us in the beggining, but the traitor left... Its a shame, but we had other members to call such as Caio. He participated in two of our Morality projects until eh betrayed us to the Iguana Productions ( a concorrente). I was part of it to, when we created it, Lucas and myself. However, I wanted to start one of our own. Both MArsh Periwinkle and Iguana Productions share a mammoth respect for each other and we hope of joining both some day in the Komodo Dragons Prodcution. But its still in development. Any ways, after Caio closed doors with us, we called two new members. Sebastian which was always an assitant of Marsh Periwinkle and Andre who volunteered. Both did an amazing job. The trouble was Mr. Murphy only allowed 4 in a group but we convinced him to have 5. Anyhow, we did the project and it was amazing. As we expected we got a 100( A+).
